Black is SO hot right now

If ever there was a company that didn't need to hire a Black model it's Sanrio. I know I'm stuck on this, but I am SUPER excited about this Hello Kitty Kouture (MAC). And then I was looking at the ads, and I was even more juiced that the new image of Hello Kitty is Black. And not just a black cat, a Black woman! (and she lightweight looks like me, vanity at its finest). I don't know how this is a step forward for Black people, and I'm sure it had more to do with MAC Cosmetics than Sanrio, but this makes me proud to rock the Kitty.

using high pitch frequency to irritate certain groups

So I hear the military has been testing this, and malls have been using it as a deterrent, but it's kind of interesting to see if you can hear the pitch they're using. this literally hurt my left ear. its not like any mosquito i've ever heard (what the website said it's supposed to sound like), it's more like that sound that older tv's make (that shit is irritating too) in fact, it was so irritating that it didn't make me want to leave or anything, it just instantly pissed me off, therefore i don't think this would be a good weapon, since it incites this type of behavior.

ads like this make me want to buy stuff

hell yes! Hello Kitty M.A.C. makeup. i'm excited!
two product lines get me excited in terms of design and innovative presentation, Bebe and MAC. This first ad for the Hello Kitty line is pretty effin cool.

(completely ripped off from gwen stefani's 'watcha waitin for' but whatever, it's still cool)

So suddenly rape is a game

So my point this article is to try to get some level of outrage against this product. People can say whatever they want, but intuitively we know that audio and visual stimuli heavily influence our decisions. And when there's a game out that allows you to rape little kids while they're crying big eyes full of tears, you should be hung for thought crimes (because according to the studies the chances of this crossing the line into real life are quite high).

The title of the game is Rapelay, from Illusion Soft out of Yokohama, Japan. This game allows the player to stalk, beat, rape, gang rape, impregnate and force abortions (all in different positions and outfits) to a mom and her two daughters. I wish I could rewind to the time right before I learned about this and not click the digg link. Other than being completely insulted, disturbed and pissed, I wanted to see what I could do to get this thing off the market. Amazon.com already pulled it from their website after some complaints. It seems to me that this game makes people feel like it's ok to rape, attack and brutalize women. It's not going to make them go out and do this but it will reinforce the idea that it's not a big deal. That someone is going to side with them when they do it because hey, someone made a game about it. Think about that, it's a game now. For someones entertainment, you can attack, impregnate and force an abortion on a woman.

I can't completely judge Japan on this, because there is now an English download version, for all of the language deficient perverts out there. No country seems to be spearheading the war on crimes against women. But as women, we need to be pissed. We need to hang these men out to dry by using any level of legislative power we have. Women like Oprah, Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin need to have public talks about this. Everyone likes to call themselves feminists, but no one wants to do the footwork.

I haven't exactly found my venue yet but I figure I can start with insults.

I'm guessing that globally the players of this game are the least desirable to any woman and that's why these men feel that they have to result to forcing themselves on defenseless children, even if it's virtual. They are probably short, if not yet then they will be balding, overweight, overlooked, tiny penis having little pricks that if they came over here to Oakland would get their asses handed to them by any female they approached. Ladies, I don't know how else to declare war on something like this, so if you find this "game" in the possession of a guy you know, "accidentally" spill your morning coffee on his laptop. It will be you doing your part for womankind.
thanks.

Calling All Potheads

So this actually makes sense. I saw an article about how people are trying to boycott ALL Kelloggs products because they feel it's stupid to drop Michael Phelps' endorsement. I totally agree. So what if he hit a bong. First of all it wasn't a performance enhancing drug. It was on his off time AND he's 22 and was at a college party. Come on. If anything isn't the logic that he should have been slower (unless the conspiracy is true and bud really is GOOD for you... ehem...) Anyway so I'm on the bandwagon. They are trying to force General Mills to pick it up, which could make things interesting. So let's try it (they're all trying to kill us with mercury laced HFCS anyway, so lets make them pick sides in our weed battle). Besides who eats more cereal in th emiddle of the night than us anyway. They should be geggin ALL of us for endorsements.
ciao.

Thank you Football!!!

First: the superbowl was an AMAZING game. Possibly the best game i saw this season (of course except for watching Cal stomp UCLA live in the flesh... Go Bears)

Second: The frohawk!!! Maybe you don't fully understand my love for mohawks, but I did a series on them in "Black Rock" on my podcast. Thought I'd feature them here too, outside of music.
